When I look back over the past 6-9 months, the journey of Remote Weekly feels surreal. We are close to 5000 members now and we've had 37 issues published on extremely relevant topics in the world of remote work. Add to that a 7000+ word guide on building distributed teams from the ground up!
So I thought to myself, it is about time to do a roundup of all great posts we have done thus far. This will serve to refresh your memory and also help our newest members get up to speed 😀
Of course, the articles that make it to the list are a subjective choice at my end and I would love if you differ & share the ones you liked better 😎
Here's the link to the compilation - RemoteClan. Join in and share your thoughts on what you liked best!
Updates from The Remote Clan
Here are the top highlights from our community this week -
1. Snir dissected the recently popular NYT article on how remote work is doomed and presented a nice rebuttal for each point in the article. Don't miss this one - it surely is an engaging read!
2. Anna rightly points out that there are soon going to be lots of cities offering cash incentives to remote workers who relocate there. What do you think?
Finally, a warm welcome to our newest members -
- Jeremy has tons of experience in engineering - Director, Engg. at Symantec & Head, Machine Learning at Uber among others. He's started working remotely only recently.
- Colin has been freelancing for ~8 yrs while travelling and is passionate about products, particularly no-code tools.
- Adam is the co-founder of Jointly and has worked remotely with multiple companies prior to setting up his own business.
