Microsoft acquires Ally.io to enhance employee experience for hybrid work 💯‍

Microsoft on Thursday announced the acquisition of the OKR software Ally.io. The move aims to provide organizations with tools to improve employee experience by aligning individual work and team goals with the overall company mission.

Ally.io is a OKR (objectives and key results) software that gives leaders, teams and individuals the ability to gain visibility of the entire work process and help teams stay engaged and focused to achieve their goals.

The OKR software integrates with all the systems and tools that a team uses everyday to deeply connect the daily work between teams and help them seamlessly collaborate.

Ally.io will join the Microsoft Viva family as part of their employee experience platform that helps companies cope with virtual collaboration and digital work-life setting. 

Talking about the acquisition of Ally.io, Kirk Koenigsbauer, the chief operating officer & corporate vice president, experiences and devices group at Microsoft wrote in a blog post,

“Ally.io and Microsoft Viva will enrich how people and teams come together to build alignment and achieve better business outcomes. Over the next year, we’ll be investing to bring Ally.io into the Microsoft cloud, evolve the existing integrations with Microsoft Teams, and weave Ally.io into Viva, Office, Power BI and the broader set of Microsoft 365 apps and services.”

This acquisition comes at a time when more and more companies are opting for a hybrid work setting. As flexibility and remote work becomes an important part of work, new and innovative employee experience solutions like Microsoft Viva and Ally.io simply try to align work and have teams moving in the right direction.
