Amazon is trying hard to create a positive image in the minds of its employees. They have realised that 'flexibility' is the topmost ask by employees right now.
So to send out a strong message, Amazon has come up with a part-time work policy where you can reduce working hours for personal priorities!
Here are some key points from the announcement:
- Amazon's new policy allows employees to temporarily opt for reduced working hours to focus on personal priorities like health, older parent, parenthood etc.
- Employees can request for fewer work hours after discussing it with their manager & HR
- The announcement also clearly outlines that career growth will be unaffected by the hours at work, and solely depend on employee performance
While it'll surely be perceived as a positive step, do you think Amazon will be able to execute well?
